QuestionQ63

VerifiedThe TOGAF Standard, Version 9.2

TP Banking is a strong financial institution with a well-known history of acquisitions and an internal IT department managing more than 100 infrastructure- and service-related projects.

In response to difficult market conditions, the CIO has decided to establish an Enterprise Architecture based on TOGAF 9. An Architecture Vision and a set of domain architectures have been approved. The CIO asks you, the Lead Architect, to define an Implementation and Migration Plan that realizes the vision already agreed with the involved stakeholders.

You lead a group of domain architects and work with the corporate PMO, the business strategy team, and service operations. You are meeting with stakeholders to clarify how to proceed with the Implementation and Migration Plan.

Explanation

TOGAF ADM Phases E and F plan how the approved Target Architecture will be realized in coordinated increments. Transition Architectures define the intermediate states; capability gaps and project dependencies are analyzed and organized into work packages; and stakeholders agree the Implementation and Migration Roadmap. Phase F produces the detailed implementation plan in cooperation with functions such as the PMO and operations.
