Dell's PowerProtect Data Domain installation and configuration documentation states that the iDRAC root account ships with a unique default password equal to the appliance's system serial number, rather than a common default like "calvin" used on older PowerEdge systems. This serial number can be read from the pull-out service tag on the front of the chassis (or the PSNT tag on the rear handle, if present), but it is the serial number value itself — not the tag or its other codes — that constitutes the password.
