Cleaner Question Flow Updates

You should see a smoother study flow now: fewer UI annoyances, cleaner scenario wording, and more reliable tracking behind the scenes where it actually helps improve the platform.

Here’s what changed recently on ExamCademy, the free, community-driven IT certification prep platform:

• “Series” is now “Scenario”
  If you study multi-part questions, the wording should make more sense now. “Scenario” is clearer and better matches how these question groups actually work, especially when you’re working through exam-style prompts with shared context.

• Dropdown menus behave better
  We fixed custom select/dropdown menus so they stay on-screen and don’t disappear behind the sidebar. If you’ve used filters or selectors and had a menu show up in an awkward spot, that should be much less annoying now.

• Question view handling is more reliable
  We improved how question views are recorded in the database. That matters because platform stats, usage signals, and improvement decisions depend on clean data. Better tracking helps us understand what people are actually studying without adding friction to your session.

• Location mapping for question views was updated
  We adjusted the IP-to-country mapping logic for question views. This helps make regional usage data more accurate at a high level, which is useful when we’re looking at where the community is growing and how people are using the platform.

• Removed the answer-reveal tracking event
  We also removed a PostHog event tied to revealing answers. In practice, this means less unnecessary event noise and a cleaner analytics setup focused on signals that are actually useful for improving the study experience.

None of this is flashy, but it’s the kind of work that makes daily studying feel better: clearer terminology, fewer interface hiccups, and cleaner platform data so we can keep improving the right things.
