TOGAF business scenarios are used to identify and understand business needs and derive the business requirements that architecture development must address. They are used prominently in Phase A (Architecture Vision) to define relevant requirements and build stakeholder consensus, and in Phase B (Business Architecture) to derive architecture characteristics from high-level business requirements. They can also be used in the Preliminary Phase to define requirements for establishing an Enterprise Architecture capability.
