CCE uses SAS disks by default for data-plane VM creation. When no SAS disks are available in the data plane, cluster resources cannot be provisioned and cluster creation can fail, so SAS disks must be added.

SSD disks and SSD cards can serve as cache media. When a server has two cache media devices of the same type, the cache capacity is the combined capacity of both devices.

Backup nodes and backup storage are recommended to be deployed in the same cabinet so that backup components have a direct, simplified physical connection layout. Active and standby backup nodes should be separated across cabinets to preserve cabinet-level fault isolation.

HUAWEI CLOUD Stack supports heterogeneous deployment in which an x86 management AZ is paired with either an ARM or an x86 compute AZ. Independent Global deployment separates the Global layer from Region resource pools, while installing a compute AZ remains valid for a Region deployment. The compute-AZ option is turned off only when the deployment is limited to the management AZ. Huawei’s installation guidance identifies that disabling the compute-AZ option hides business-AZ and business-storage settings and limits installation to required services.

A storage compatibility list identifies devices supported for integration; it does not guarantee automatic connection for every listed device. Storage-device connection can require device-specific configuration and integration steps, so automatic connection to all compatible devices is not supported.

Huawei Cloud delivery documentation treats HLD and LLD as cloud-platform deliverables and requires a BOQ to be prepared before service provision. These documents support solution design, bill-of-quantities confirmation, and detailed implementation planning before delivery.

HUAWEI CLOUD Stack supports both M-LAG networking and stack networking for the relevant switch deployment, so M-LAG is not the sole permitted deployment mode.

HUAWEI CLOUD Stack provides intelligent cloud-management and data-lake capabilities for on-demand resource provisioning and rapid service rollout. Its intelligent-data value is therefore not limited to data transfer only on local networks or to aggregation once per day.

A dual-core, single-region architecture separates the Internet-service and e-Government-extranet network domains, providing the required security isolation. A single region is appropriate for a small-scale deployment; dual-region networking is intended when additional cross-region disaster-recovery capability is required.

Cloud Connect enables private communication between VPCs in different regions by interconnecting those VPC network instances across regions.

HUAWEI CLOUD Stack supports tenant connectivity to external networks through public-access services such as EIP, ELB, and NAT Gateway, as well as hybrid and inter-network services such as VPN, Direct Connect, L2BR, and Cloud Connect. L2BR specifically supports communication between a VPC and on-premises IP address ranges, while Cloud Connect supports communication between VPCs and on-premises data centers.

BR requires the Inter_Connect plane for external traffic, External_OM for management of BR virtual machines, and Internal_Base connectivity for network-node deployment and management. DMZ_Service is a service-plane network and does not require a direct connection to BR.

The global management zone requires management nodes, Management TOR switches, and BMC access switches to provide the management plane and out-of-band hardware-management connectivity. Management core switches are not required in that zone.

The management firewall is deployed in serial mode between the egress PE and the management core switches, placing management-plane traffic behind the firewall at the management network’s external boundary.

Databases, data warehouses, and data lakes are distinguished by factors such as the type and structure of data they hold, their schema and processing model, and their analytical or operational purpose. Storage volume is not an inherent defining difference, because each can contain varying amounts of data.

Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), VPC endpoint, and VPC peering are implemented on the same group of network-element (NE) VMs because they are related VPC networking functions.

HUAWEI CLOUD Stack Model 1 is a full-stack cloud-service model in which the hardware and software are provided as part of the service and remain Huawei-owned. The customer therefore does not need to purchase hardware devices.

In HUAWEI CLOUD Stack single-core architecture, the two-, four-, and six-port networking options apply to the network ports used by compute nodes. Management, network, and backup nodes continue to use the standard networking configuration.

In HUAWEI CLOUD Stack, CCE, GaussDB, RDS, and ISAP all require their management components to be deployed in the Pod zone.

CloudDNS supports private zones for internal network services, enabling internal domain names to resolve to the appropriate private service addresses. It can therefore provide DNS resolution for internal applications such as email and OA systems without a separately operated DNS server.

Six-network-port compute-node networking is supported by the single-core architecture as well as by dual-core networking; therefore, six-port compute nodes are not limited to the dual-core architecture.
