YUV 4:2:0 retains full-resolution luma while sampling each chroma component at one-quarter resolution, so it uses half the component-sample data of YUV 4:4:4. Because human vision is more sensitive to luminance detail than chrominance detail, the U and V components can be downsampled.

In SIP, each server adds a Via header field while forwarding a request. Responses use the Via header fields to return along that request path.

IdeaManager is the Huawei platform for centralized management of IdeaHub devices, including remote device control, scheduled operations, and batch OTA software updates at large scale.

Huawei VP9860 is a VP9800-series MCU that provides media-engine capabilities, including video, audio, presentation, and data processing. CloudRSE is a conference recording and streaming server, so it also processes conference media. SMC provides conference management, and Box 310 is a video-conferencing endpoint rather than a media-layer element.

Huawei SMC supports multi-level conferencing with up to four cascaded conference levels.

Multi-level hardware protection provides redundancy for network ports, fans, power supplies, and disks using RAID, helping the platform remain available when an individual component fails.

SMC can assign personal VMR resources to both conference rooms and conference users. For either type of target, provisioning can be performed individually or in batches.

SIP supports multiple transports, but SCTP is not the most commonly used one for SIP. The IETF notes that SCTP has seen very limited usage as a SIP transport.

The SIP Via header field records the path taken by a request and specifies the path used to route responses back through the signaling path.

mswt-media allflow displays the bit rates of all currently ongoing media streams.

TLS encrypts SIP signaling, and both the MCU and endpoint must use the TLS transport type to establish secure SIP communication for an encrypted conference.

The SMC diagnostic-information collection function supports the SMC, RSE8800, and Box 310. HW CloudLink is not a supported collection target for that function.

Conference type, video protocol, resolution and frame rate, and bandwidth together define how conference media is established and delivered. They are all required to identify mismatches in negotiation, capacity, or media quality that can cause conferencing faults.

In Huawei SMC, system administrators are management-only accounts and cannot initiate or join conferences. Endpoint binding for conference participation applies to meeting administrators and common users, not system administrators.
