HPE StoreOnce VSA runs as a virtual machine, and HPE documentation recommends leveraging the VMware High Availability (HA) feature to improve its availability. VMware HA monitors the ESXi hosts in a cluster and automatically restarts the VSA virtual machine on another available host if the original host fails, reducing downtime without requiring manual intervention. This is distinct from VMware SRM, which handles disaster recovery/site failover rather than local host-level availability, and there is no supported 'KVM Failover Cluster' feature documented for this purpose.
