Which HPE sizing tool should be used to size a solution for an HPE Alletra 6000 storage system?
NinjaSTARS is HPE's interactive storage sizing and proposal tool for the enterprise block and backup lines - HPE 3PAR, Primera, Nimble and StoreOnce - and for the HPE Alletra families that succeeded them. The HPE Alletra 6000 is the Nimble-lineage array: it runs the Nimble-derived Alletra OS and is modelled with the same capacity, IOPS, latency, rack-space and power calculations as Nimble arrays, so its solution sizing is performed in NinjaSTARS, which gained dedicated Alletra 6000 and Alletra 9000 planning when those arrays launched and whose current releases size HPE Alletra, Nimble, Primera, 3PAR and StoreOnce. Ninja Online is a separate web sizing portal used for HPE MSA and for GreenLake, backup and AI sizers; HPE lists Ninja Online and NinjaSTARS as two distinct tools in its Storage Solutions curriculum, and publishes no sizer named 'Block Storage Sizer' or 'Unstructured Storage Sizer' under Ninja Online, so neither is a valid choice for sizing an Alletra 6000.
