Customers report very high latency when they access an application from the United States. The application currently runs in a single European region.
What should the organization do?
Deploying a replica in a United States region places application resources nearer to United States users, reducing the network-latency component of their requests. Extra zones or regions in Europe improve resilience but do not address the geographic distance to those users. Google Cloud recommends deploying application resources in the region closest to users to optimize network latency.
