VxRail OSA requires nodes in a cluster to have the same base networking and the same storage configuration category: hybrid or all-flash. It also permits Intel-based nodes to be added only to Intel-based clusters and AMD-based nodes only to AMD-based clusters. Therefore, mixing AMD with Intel CPUs, adding an all-flash node to a hybrid HDD-based cluster, or mixing 1 GbE with 10 GbE networking causes incompatibility.
