Drag & Drop
Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS)
Label Distribution Protocol (LDP)
Forwarding Equivalence Class (FEC)
Provider Edge (PE)
Label Switched Path (LSP)
set of packets with similar characteristics that might be bound to the same MPLS label
data-carrying mechanism that is independent of any data link layer protocol
router that functions as the ingress and/or egress router to the MPLS domain
route through an MPLS network, defined by a signaling protocol such as LDP or BGP
mechanism by which two routers exchange label mapping information
Explanation

An FEC groups packets that receive the same MPLS forwarding treatment. MPLS is independent of the underlying Layer 2 protocol. PE routers sit at the MPLS domain boundary, LSPs are signaled paths through the MPLS network, and LDP distributes label bindings between routers.
