FlexConnect AP image upgrades reduce WAN use for branch deployments: one AP of each model at a branch downloads the image across the WAN, then acts as the primary source for comparable local APs to obtain the image over the local network. This avoids having every remote AP download the full image across higher-latency WAN links. TFTP is used within the FlexConnect upgrade workflow for local distribution, but a standalone TFTP image upgrade is not the feature that coordinates efficient multi-AP upgrades across remote branches.
