Which path does location information captured by FastLocate take?
FastLocate obtains multiple RSSI measurements from the serving AP and neighboring APs that can hear the station’s data transmission. Those AP reports go to the wireless LAN controller, which processes the packet-RSSI information and forwards the location data to Cisco CMX for location calculation. The direct-to-CMX path is incorrect because FastLocate sends the collected RSSI information through the controller rather than bypassing it.
