Guidelines

This lab item requires tasks to be completed on virtual devices:

• Refer to the Tasks tab to view this lab item's tasks.
• Refer to the Topology tab to access the device console(s) and complete the tasks.
• Console access is available for every required device by selecting its icon or using the tabs above the console window.
• All required preconfigurations have already been applied.
• Do not modify the enable password or hostname of any device.
• Save configurations to NVRAM before proceeding to the next item.
• Selecting Next at the bottom submits this lab and proceeds to the next question.
• After Next is selected, the lab closes and cannot be reopened.

Topology

Tasks

All physical cabling is installed. R3 and R4 are completely configured and cannot be accessed. Configure static routes to provide the required connectivity to the ISP and to the LAN on R4.

1. Configure R1 so it prefers R2 for traffic destined only for the server.
2. Configure a default route on R2 to the ISP.
3. Configure R1 to use R2 for the R4 LAN if the R3–R4 link fails.
4. Configure R1 so it prefers R3 for traffic destined to the R4 LAN at 10.0.41.0/24.
