Guidelines

This lab item requires tasks to be completed on virtual devices.

• Refer to the Tasks tab to see the tasks for this lab item.
• Refer to the Topology tab to access the device console(s) and carry out the tasks.
• Console access is available for every required device by selecting its device icon or using the tab(s) above the console window.
• All required preconfigurations have already been applied.
• Do not modify the enable password or hostname on any device.
• Save configurations to NVRAM before proceeding to the next item.
• Select Next at the bottom of the screen to submit this lab and continue to the next question.
• After Next is selected, the lab closes and cannot be reopened.

Topology

Tasks

R1 and R2 are already configured with all required commands. All physical cabling is installed and verified. PC1 and PC2 connectivity to the switches must be established; each port may permit only one VLAN and must be operational.

1. Configure SW-1 with VLAN 15 and name it exactly OPS.
2. Configure SW-2 with VLAN 66 and name it exactly ENGINEERING.
3. Configure the switch port connected to PC1.
4. Configure the switch port connected to PC2.
5. Configure the E0/2 links on SW-1 and SW-2 for neighbor discovery using the vendor-neutral standard protocol, and ensure E0/0 on both switches uses the Cisco proprietary protocol.
