Cisco recommends DMVPN and GETVPN for scalable multi-branch deployments. DMVPN is built to support many branch sites with dynamic tunneling and scalable hub-and-spoke or spoke-to-spoke connectivity. GETVPN is designed for large-scale WAN environments where many sites need secure any-to-any communication without traditional point-to-point tunnel scaling limits. By contrast, basic site-to-site VPN is less scalable for large numbers of branches, and clientless or IPsec remote access VPNs are intended for individual user access rather than branch-office connectivity.
