To protect send performance, reporting should not read the active Send Log while sends use it. Send Log records can be moved to an archive data extension for reporting, allowing daily reports to run against the archived data while the active Send Log remains available for sending operations. The _Opens data view contains open events only, so it cannot provide reporting on all subscriber activity.
