Which two events cause a router to advertise a directly connected network to its OSPF neighbors?
OSPF advertises an OSPF-enabled interface’s connected network through its link-state information. Once an OSPF adjacency is established, the router exchanges that information with the neighbor. A passive OSPF interface stops sending Hellos and forming adjacencies on that interface, but its connected network continues to be advertised. Static routes to the OSPF multicast addresses do not cause connected-network advertisements.
