Temporary HR-system identities that are not included in the federated identity system can evade centralized identity lifecycle management, authentication, authorization, auditability, and timely deprovisioning. This permits unmanaged or orphaned access to sensitive HR data. Federated identity systems provide authentication and attributes to relying parties, while identity and credential management binds identities to credentials for authorized access.
