AAIR: Advanced in AI Risk

A model must be evaluated against its intended business context and specific application scope so that its capabilities, limitations, performance, and associated risks are appropriate for the critical function. General indicators such as dataset size, certifications, or innovation do not by themselves establish that fit. NIST AI RMF guidance calls for clearly defining the business-use context and specifying the targeted application scope, including when assessing third-party AI technologies.
