An IS auditor is reviewing an AI tool that uses K-means to cluster customers. One cluster has very high spending but low product diversity.
What should the auditor recommend?
K-means can validly identify a segment whose members spend heavily while purchasing from only a limited range of products. This pattern may indicate loyal customers with narrow product interests and does not, by itself, demonstrate a clustering failure or require a different model or more clusters.
