The Support Flat Structure checkbox on an Object Structure record enables that object structure to be used with flat files such as CSV. When this option is selected, Maximo validates the underlying objects for duplicate attribute names across the object structure's parent and child objects (for example, WONUM existing on both WORKORDER and WOACTIVITY), since a flat CSV file cannot contain duplicate column names. Selecting this checkbox is required before an object structure can be associated with the Application Import/Export feature or used for flat-file (CSV) import and export through the Integration Framework and External Systems configuration.
