How does a monitoring agent correctly authenticate to the IBM Cloud Monitoring service to which it sends metrics?
An IBM Cloud Monitoring agent uses the monitoring instance’s access key (token) to authenticate when sending metrics to that instance. IBM documentation identifies the access key as the credential used to configure the agent and forward metric data.
