QuestionQ45

Authentication/Authorization

After three new AOS-10 gateways are onboarded into the same HPE Aruba Networking Central group by using the full-setup method, a customer cannot sign in to one gateway through the HPE Aruba Networking Central remote console because the password is incorrect.

What is causing this problem?

Explanation

HPE Aruba Networking Central remote console opens an SSH session to the gateway and authenticates with the gateway management-user credentials. Full setup establishes the gateway’s local admin password, whereas the group-level admin password is separately configured. A gateway whose full-setup admin password differs from the group admin password will reject that group password during remote-console authentication.
