Which feature of HPE StoreOnce Catalyst ensures the confidentiality of data?
Confidentiality of data is achieved through encryption, not through redundancy or filesystem architecture. HPE StoreOnce Catalyst stores support encrypting data both while it is being transferred (in transit) between the Catalyst client and the StoreOnce system, and while it resides within the Catalyst store (at rest). This encryption protects the data from unauthorized access or interception, which is the definition of confidentiality. RAID configurations protect against hardware failure and improve availability/redundancy, and the XFS filesystem is used for reliable, high-performance data storage and integrity, but neither of these mechanisms encrypts or otherwise restricts access to the data content, so they do not provide confidentiality.
