Which cluster type delivers zero RTO and zero RPO?
A stretched cluster uses synchronous replication between its sites or availability zones, so acknowledged writes exist in both locations and the recovery point objective can be zero. In a disaster-avoidance scenario, it can also provide a zero recovery time objective through seamless workload continuation or planned migration. Google Cloud VMware Engine specifically recommends a VMware Engine stretched cluster when both RPO and RTO must be zero.
