FortiSandbox receives submitted email attachments and URLs for sandbox inspection, analyzes them, and produces a risk rating or verdict that FortiMail retrieves. Detection of risky or virus-containing files results in a new virus signature being added to the FortiGuard antivirus signature database. Submitting objects and holding email while results are pending are FortiMail functions.
