VerifiedData Backup Strategies

Jonah recently began using an external hard disk to back up his data. He observed that his laptop creates a new backup every day, with each backup consuming more storage space than the one before it. What type of backup is Jonah's computer creating each day?

Explanation

A differential backup contains all data changed since the last full backup. Because the set of changes accumulates each day until another full backup is performed, successive differential backups require progressively more storage space.
