Which recommendation is correct when using only hotadd transport mode with the vProxy appliance?
Hotadd requires VMware virtual hardware version 7 or later and a vProxy deployed on an ESXi host with a storage path to the target virtual disks. IDE virtual disks cannot use hotadd; Dell recommends SCSI virtual disks whenever possible. A hotadd-only configuration disables the alternate NBD transport mode by setting its maximum sessions to 0.
