The ability to disable detections on a host lets administrators stand up test hosts to generate and validate detections without permanently polluting the console, then later remove those detections/hosts once testing is complete. It keeps a curated detection view during maintenance or evaluation work. Allowlisting a false positive (C) is done through exclusions/allowlisting, not by the disable-detections capability, so C is a tempting but incorrect distractor. Uninstalling the sensor (B) and purging data from uninstalled hosts (D) are separate host-management functions.
